I am a new user of Sketchup but am finding it increasingly helpful.
I use Autocad on a work PC but after recently buying a MacBook Pro I am looking at CAD software for the Mac.
Can any other forum members recommend a good CAD package for the Mac that might work in a similar way to Autocad (but not at the same cost!!).
Also, I have seen a couple of comments regarding rendering packages - what is a good one for a novice renderer to use...?
My background is property development and so the ability to create accurate and photo-realistic buildings would be very beneficial.
I hope to hear from you, much more experienced users out there.
Thanks

i know quite a few people who use Vectorworks (http://www.nemetschek.net/). it was the first CAD program I ever used, back in '01, before eventually having to learn AutoCAD.
as for easy apps for rendering SketchUp models on a MAC, you've got 2 choices now for plugins that work right in SKP. IDX Renditioner, and Podium just came out with a MAC version of their plugin.
