- I'm a union Art Director for television in the big glamourous town of Hollywood. Life. In. The. Lights. Or sorta, behind them a bit. There's a website you can check out and learn more about me- www.jamespearseconnelly.ocm. I work mostly in an area of television categorized as 'variety.' normally understoond to mean 'miscellaneous,' but I translate that into 'fast and fabulous.' On an overall look back on any given year of work - I typically art direct over 30 television shows, covering reality television, game shows, challenge shows, reunion specials, talk shows, occasional sitcom, award shows and red carpet type event productions. It may seem to me that I am often chasing my shadow after a standard 18 hour day of work and exhausted yet not knowing where or when the next job will come. But I like my life... sometimes I daydream that when I win a big award someday, who will i thank? My boyfriend? My mother? My dog? Yet for the purposes of this blog, and hopefully recurring update on the school site - I would like to thank first and foremost, the academy and SketchUp, and even perhaps more importantly Google. eh hem... instead I'll just tell you how much I do use and ultimately enjoy this program in many different capacities.
