Hey all, we just launched the second episode of The Sketchup Show. In the show, we cover the following three Plugins:
Simplify Contours (from Sketchup site)
Click on any of the links above to find those Plugins. Hope you have fun using them, and we'll cover more in the future!
How to install the plugins listed above (and all plugins more or less):
Installation
Copy the file FILENAME.rb to the @Last Software-Sketchup 5-Plugins folder:
For Windows, that folder is located here - C:/Program Files/@Last Software/SketchUp5/Plugins
For Macs it is at System>Library>Application Support>Sketchup 5>Plugins
Then restart Sketchup, and you should find the Plugin in either the Tools, Draw, or Plugin menu. Also, some are located in the context menu (right-click).
Updated Ruby Script installation instructions for those of you now working with SketchUp Pro V6:
For Mac -
You can place your ruby scripts (.rb files) into the following directory: Main Hard Drive > Library > Application Support > Google SketchUp 6 > SketchUp > Plugins.
For PC -
You can place your ruby scripts (.rb files) into the following directory: C:/ Program Files / Google SketchUp 6 / SketchUp / Plugins. Then restart Sketchup, and you should find the Scripts will be located in either the
Tools, Draw, Camera or Plugin menu. Also, some are located in the context menu
(right-click).

instead of clicking on the script, right click on it and then select the option for 'Save As'. then save the file as a .rb file.
you can either save it to your desktop and then move it - or save it directly to the plugins folder (see the directories above depending on whether you're on a Mac or PC.)
