It's January 14th, 2008 - 3:15pm. Do you know where your shadow is? If you don't, it might be time to crack open SketchUp, watch this episode and work along with Mike as he demonstrates how to harness the power of shadows and location in SketchUp.

One tip that is especially worth mentioning, and that Mike explains during the show, is how to use the Shadow settings dialog box to adjust the lighting conditions in your SketchUp model. This technique can be particularly important when you are inside a model of a room or closed space that needs more light.

In relation to shadows, Mike also points out a few different methods to setting your location in SketchUp (thus making the shadows accurate). Our favorite method: Let Google Earth do the work for you by importing your location directly into SketchUp. Yeah, we're lazy like that.
