The orbit tool sometimes rotates the model from a point far outside the center of the screen, often causing the camera to end up in the middle of nowhere.  Is there a way to more accurately control the orbit tool when this happens?

a lot of it depends on where the cursor is located when you click on the center wheel to orbit. also depends on how large your SKP model is. you'll get pretty good results if you try to place the cursor on the object that you're trying to orbit around before you click to orbit.

the 'look around' tool (icon is an eyeball) is also a helpful way to navigate. that tool allows the viewer to stay in one spot while swiveling the camera around. as opposed to orbiting around in space around an object.

despite all that, if you use the orbit tool and still end up somewhere in BFE, remember that the 'view previous' tool (icon is a magnifying glass w/ undo back arrow) will take you back to the previous view.
