Hi guys,
I am a newer user and I have created a square column built from various components. I want to run a crown molding shape around the top so I created a shape but when I try to use the follow me tool to extrude the shape around the column it won't work. The symbol of a circle with a line through it appears next to the follow me tool icon. So....can you not use the follow me tool around multiple components? I'm sure there must be a way. I got around it by drawing a new path but this was quite time consuming.
What gives?

yeah, having to redraw the profile is a bummer, but that's the dealio. maybe someday the follow me tool will get even awesomer and it'll be able to see thorough groups and components.
if you have some really intense profiles inside of a group or component, remember that you also have the option of going into the group/component, select the path, copy it, then close the group, then use 'paste in place'.
