Help! Layer bleed

I am sure this is simple but I am on deadline and searched and searched.
How do you avoid color bleed in layers? I grouped - I tried component - I tried layer order....

    hope i can help in time for your deadline, but i'm not sure exactly what you mean by color bleed?
    the only thing i can think is that maybe you've selected the option in the flyout tab of the layer's menu for 'Color by Layer'. which, if that's the case, you should be able to simply uncheck that option to restore the default or asigned colors/materials. hopefully that helps, if not, a bit more info as to the nature of the problem might help us get to the bottom of what all is going on.
