OK This time I'm wondering how to manage my component library. Basically in the scene im currently constructing I've put together many Components. Walls,Floor,Ceiling,Bath,Scales,Mirror to name but a few. However over the course of my 'Project' Dare I say it :D . I've most definitely renamed the same component different things in the course of editing them. IE Walls Bathroom Walls, Scales Bathroom Scales Glass Scales etc. SO I guess my model file has 3 instances of my scales saved and 2 instances of my walls saved. Now I am wondering what the best way of cleaning up this obsolete information ? I looked in Window Components but it seems that is just for the Component included with Sketch Up.
RE: Component Library ?
go to window - model info - statistics - purge unused.
That option will purge the model of any unused components, materials, styles, etc. Each of the conetnt libraries i've just mentioned can also be purged individually by choosing the Purge Unused option from each of the windows. e.g. The component browser window contains a purge unused option in the Flyout tab. The trick is you just need to be in the 'In Model' library first. You can quickly access the 'In Model' library by clicking on the little House icon in any of the content library windows.
