OK I just got a fairly bad shock. I have been working on a model and at some point the Auto-save became the most recent version of the model. It seems when I've been clicking the save icon it was the Auto-save version that was being re-saved so the original save file was very out of date. Well a few days worth of work behind anyway. So, I have been having a slight problem with a plug-in and thought I would load the older original save file to check whether it suffered from the same glitch. To my horror when I tried to reload the Auto-save file , it had disappeared from the folder where I store my models. I cursed Sketch Up and its makers at that point but to my relief when I changed the display files of type drop down menu from '.skp' files to 'All files' my Auto-save file reappeared. It had 'Lost' its file-type for some strange reason but simply reloading it into Sketch-up without attempting to edit it in any way seems to have reasserted its correct file association and all is well again in my Sketch-up world for the time being at least. Just thought Id Publish this small bug and a remedy that worked for me in case it proves helpful to others in Sketch-Up Land.
Happy Modelling
RE: Missing Autosave.skp File
Out of curiousity, are you working on the Mac or PC version of SU?
