Hi Roger! :DI'm in Melbourne too and I'm horticulturist and I'm studing garden design. My passion is about green roof, rooftop gardens, vertical gardens and more! :PHow's your expertise on SketchUp? I've just started!
Hi Guys,
Just found the site, I'm in Adelaide. I've been toying around with SU for a year or so and am trying to get a little better at it, hopefully it'll earn some spare cash.
hey guys just started in SU myself few weeks now...its helping me present decent quotes on patio covers ( gables domes etc)but god theres so much to learn. I find these school vids too quick!! it took me 2hours to make that lantern. Any suggestions for learning slower??
Hi everyone, I'm also an Aussie user, and Landscape Designer. I've been using Sketchup for a year or so and use it daily, it's wonderful. I'd love to ditche my CAD stuff, but not sure how well sketchup can produce the 2D stuff in plan form, ie. don't have layout yet. Has anyone done this, ie. use sketchup alone for landscape design, no CAD stuff?
Hi Graham, I've found some of the sketchup books very helpful, have a collection of them now, like 'Sketchup for Dummies', 'Google sketchup for Site Design' etc, there are heaps on Amazon. Videos are good, but I don't have good broadband out in the country so poor quality. Books I can highlight and check back on so work better for me.
Re: Australia User Group
