Los Angeles User Group
Hey All,
If anyone is interested in receiving information on
upcoming Los Angeles area user group meetings, please register on our site. When you're logged in to the site you'll see a little 'subscribe' link at the bottom of this thread. when you click on it you will automatically receive emails regarding future meetings when this thread is updated.

Hey Mike and all Skp users,
Truth is I'm an O.C. user but would be glad to make the trip to L.A. for a user group. Lets get this thing rolling and expand our skill sets and streamline our work flows. I work a lot with building architects and the like and would welcome the interaction. if you have not yet checked out the DVD or podcasts do yourself a favor and get to it, the level one DVD is great for the basics and you never know what bits of functionality you could be missing out on because you just winged it. School has a good thing going right here in the southland and I for one intend to take full advantage of it. So... anyone up for a user group? (as I said I'm in O.C. and would welcome an O.C. user group but would also attend an L.A. group).

Alright folks,
It's been a long time coming, admittedly too long. But alas, our next meeting is going to be held on Thursday, June 21st at 7pm. Studio Arts has been kind enough to allow us back for another meeting.
Their address is 570 W Avenue 26, Los Angeles, CA 90065.

We'll open the meeting up to questions any questions that you've got. Feel free to post any topics you think you're likely to bring up at the meeting.

Sounds great! I believe this is the same place that the Los Angeles Lightwave Users Group meets on Sunday afternoon.

hi, i'm an Art Center student and new to SU. just got your DVD on the prog. i'd like to come to this meet up, but not clear on what it is or the cost.
if you wouldn't mind explaining more details i'd appreciate it. i have class til 6pm, so not sure i'll be able to make it proptly @ 7pm, is that an issue?

The user group is free!
During the User Group, there is no set agenda. Bring your questions and ask Mike Tadros - he'll be hosting and plans to answer as many SketchUp questions as he can. He'll be using his computer live so you can see a demonstration of each answer or topic covered.

I think we'll be planning our next meeting towards the end of July. Either the 19th or the 26th. We could try to have our meeting at Studio Arts again, or if somebody knows of another place I'm open to suggestions.
So I'll toss it back to all of you. Which Day? and Where?

This post is a bit late in coming however I would be remiss if I did not take the chance to thank Mike Tadros and everyone at go-2-school for organizing the L.A. users group. While this last session seemed more like a Q &A session for Mike, (which by the way was very useful and interesting) I’m sure as we have a chance to get together more often the burden should shift to the group itself so we can share our own tip and tricks with each other even if we don’t have the broad knowledge base of the school guys. I’m sure we can help each other and take some of the burden off Mike, (unless Mike just loves to share so much he’s not overtaxed by having to play teacher for all of us in the user group, which frankly is a stone cold groove). Anyway just wanted to drop a line and say how helpful the user group was and to say I’ll be back as often as possible. Also the location was a winner last time even if it was a bit hard to get to for us Orange County people (I 5 at rush hour). Sorry to say I will be out of town the entire end of July and first half of August, so I may miss the next user group if it happens during that time frame, but keep me updated for future groups.

sure. which group are you wanting to join? if it's one of the groups here in LA it's pretty easy. all you need to do is show up to the meetings
