I had a little trouble working out how to resize a group.  There wasn't much in the help files but I found this on the SU Wiki. so in case there are others out there with this problem ...

"If you want to scale just a proportion of your model or a group or component: First, if the part you want to scale is not a group, group it (menu: Context menu > Make Group). Then double click on the group or component you want to scale to edit it. Once inside the group, apply the same method mentioned above. Only that group will be resized."
