Sorry if this has been covered!

I am trying to model a stucture of a barrel vaulted roof. This will consist of curved glulam beams forming a curve, with wooden I-beams hung from them at 400mm centres. I have modelled it on sketchup, but couldn't find a way to duplicate the Ibeams along the glulam curve. I tried using the rotate tool to do it; the problem is that the arc has no real center, and subsequesntly the i-beams duplicate in a circle rather than an arc. Any ideas on how to duplicate along an arc, at regular spacing, and perpendicular to the arc?

is the arc Parabolic, or is something you drew with the arc tool?

if it's a typical SKP arc you should be able to right click on the arc entity and select the option for 'Point at Center'. SKP will create a guide point at the arc's center. you can then use that as a reference for your rotated array. keep in mind that in your situation, since you know the start and end points, it may be best to place the last copy first, and then use the divide by comand.

i.e. Place first I-beam at start of arc, Rotate Copy of beam to end of arc, then type 8 > / (forward slash) > enter. to get 9 beams even spaced across the arc.
