Hello guys,

I leave in Germany and I need help please. I want to make a terrain model in Sketch up, which has a lot of mountains and also a river. Is it possible to make a real model using only countour lines and the river lines which I have available as CAD file? Or which data do I need? I have read that some people use GIS data. I already see two tutorials from the sandbox using an image, but I would like to know how possible is to do it using GIS data. I hope you can help me, thank you in advance.
