sketchup lagging

Hey

I'm using sketchup on a macbook -- the program runs fine for about 5 minutes and then starts lagging like crazy.  If I quit and reopen it, it's again fine for 5 minutes and then i get that stupid rainbow circle after every move

 is there something i can do to make sketchup run smoother?

well that certainly doesn't sound like the way SketchUp usually works when i'm working on my macbook. have you tried re-installing SKP?

I actually logged on to ask the same question . . . 

 I've been using Sketchup for about a year now.

I've done a complete wipe of my system and have done a clean install of everything. All of the sudden Sketchup is  acting very weird. 

 Any new thoughts or progress on this?

unfortunately it sounds as though there might be something going on besides just SketchUp. either hardware or software incompatibility. you might try checking to make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card. you can also try experimenting with different combinations of the Open GL options in the SketchUp Preferences Pane (PC: Window > Preferences > Open GL) (MAC: SketchUp > Preferences > Open GL)

if that doesn't help you've probably got some kind of an issue that is best suited for tech support. have you tried filling out a tech support inquiry on the SKP site yet?
