I have sketchup Pro 6 for Mac and was just watching your podcast on the select tool. I have NEVER had the lasso or bounding box w/the select tool work for me. What is the issue? Is there a setting or something that I need to check?
BTW...Love the DVD's and podcasts. I have both the vol1 and 2 DVD's and have watched them multiple times. Fantastic content!

i think you might potentially have a couple things going on with the bounding box thing. I've seen those issues before in cases where the computer's graphics card aren't 100% Open GL compliant.
So, you could try looking into whether perhaps there's an update for your Graphics Card's Open GL Driver.
Or you could go into the Preferences Pane in SketchUp and fiddle with the Open GL Settings:
MAC: SketchUp > Preferences > Open GL
PC: Window > Preferences > Open GL
mess around with checking or (in most cases) un-checking the Hardware acceleration and fast feedback check boxes until you get the select tool to work.
