Hello!

I am trying to import a 3D shrub from the 3D Warehouse and I am getting and error message... WarehouseRubyExtension?  I don't understand... i am using Sketchup 5 and apparently that is what this model is for...

Please Help! :)

instead of trying to import directly from the warehouse into your model - perhaps try downloading the model onto your computer as a separate file, and then use the SketchUp menu option for File > Import and import the .skp file into your project that way.

no prob. can you post a link to the 3DW page for the component you're trying to download? i want to see if it works with SKP V6.

also, have you tried downloading the V5 component from the warehouse using IE or Firefox, as opposed to the Get Models command in SKP?

hmmm, both download/import options worked for me using SKP V6.

when you download the model from the 3DW to your desktop, are you able to open it? if so, how about just copy / pasting from that file into to your project...

if that doesn't work, there's gotta be some kind of compatibility thing going on. I guess if you felt like upgrading to SKP V6 you'd have done it by now. what's holding you back?

if you have a license for SKP Pro V5 you can upgrade to V6 for free: http://www.sketchup.com/store/google-license-upgrade.ep

yes, (assuming you're on a MAC) when you right click on the toolbar, you should see an option for 'configure' which will allow you to add/remove icons to the top toolbar.

if you're on a PC, the toolbars are controlled from the View > Toolbars menu.
