We’re going to to the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) this week. We’ll be in the Kraftmaid Cabinetry booth (#S1210) presenting all of the 3D models of cabinets, faucetskitchen islands and full kitchen designs that we’ve created and uploaded to the Google 3D Warehouse on behalf of Kraftmaid. The 38 half-hour presentations we have planned are all approved for NKBA CE units, and revolve around the new possibilities for designers that the 3D Warehouse creates. With all these cabinet products and assemblies now available, designers can simply drop real products into their kitchens at the earliest stages of the design process.

Every attendee who completes a CEU course at the booth will receive a free copy of our SketchUp for Everyone training DVD. In addition, we’ll hold a drawing every 2 hours for an autographed copy of “Real World Google SketchUp 7” by our very own Mike Tadros.

2 Kitchen and Bath designers who use Google SketchUp daily will be joining us at the Kraftmaid booth:

On top of being a stellar designer, Paul Anater is also a blogger and social media consultant. His blog, Kitchen and Residential Design, is read by over 40,000 design enthusiasts each month. He’ll be presenting two themes using SketchUp – a “New Traditionalist” kitchen with several products downloaded from the Google 3D Warehouse, and the American Gothic kitchen re-imagined from the historically famous painting of the same name.

Eric Shimelpfenig will also be presenting. Eric runs the website Sketch This where he creates educational video and blog posts on Google SketchUp and kitchen design. Eric will cover 2 topics as well; the first will concentrate on using SketchUp’s LayOut program to create a set of project drawings. For his second presentation, he will create a kitchen from scratch in less than 25 minutes.

Of course, I’ll be there too, elaborating on how manufacturers and designers can make the design process more efficient and a lot more fun with Google SketchUp and the Google 3D Warehouse. If you go to the show, stop by Kraftmaid’s booth and say hello!
